Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RBLS LLC ("Somlr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Somlr mobile application, the somlr.ai website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Somlr is an iOS app that helps users scan restaurant wine lists and receive AI-assisted wine recommendations based on extracted wine list information and the user's taste profile. This Privacy Policy applies to the personal information and related data we collect in connection with the Service.

Account information. When you create or use an account, we collect your email address and related authentication information necessary to maintain your account and provide the Service.

Taste profile information. We collect the preference information you choose to provide, including your wine type rankings or preferences, flavor traits, reference wine, and similar profile details that help us personalize recommendations.

Usage information. We collect information about how you use the Service, such as wines you save to favorites, your scan history, and the wine list text contents processed through the app. For clarity, this includes extracted wine list contents and related outputs, but not permanent storage of the submitted photos themselves on our servers.

Device and analytics information. We may collect standard technical and analytics information associated with your iOS device, such as device type, app version, approximate diagnostics, and usage events that help us operate and improve the Service.

Somlr requests camera access solely so that you can capture images of restaurant wine lists for processing within the app. You may also choose to upload an existing image from your device where supported.

When you submit a wine list image, that image is transmitted to OpenAI's API for image analysis and text extraction (OCR) so the Service can identify wines and generate recommendation-related outputs.

Photos submitted for scanning are not permanently stored on Somlr's servers after processing is complete, except for limited temporary handling that may be technically necessary for transmission, caching, troubleshooting, security, or legal compliance.

We use your information to create and manage your account, authenticate you, provide the Service, and maintain your saved data across sessions.

We use your taste profile, favorites, scan outputs, and related inputs to generate and personalize wine recommendations and improve the relevance of the results you receive.

We may use aggregated and anonymized wine preference data, feature usage trends, and related analytics to improve our recommendation models, product performance, and user experience. This means we may study broader patterns in user preferences, but we do not share individual user data for those product-improvement purposes.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share individual user data with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

We may also use information to secure the Service, detect abuse, troubleshoot technical issues, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms of Service.

Somlr stores account and profile data using Supabase-hosted infrastructure in the United States. You can review Supabase's privacy information at https://supabase.com/privacy.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data in transit and at rest, including encryption-based protections where appropriate. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain legitimate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Supabase. We use Supabase for database, authentication, and related storage infrastructure. Privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy.

Apple App Store. The app is distributed through Apple, and your use of Apple's platform may also be subject to Apple's own terms, privacy notices, and device-level settings.

We may use additional service providers for analytics, hosting, error monitoring, or security as needed to operate the Service. Those providers may process data on our behalf subject to contractual and operational safeguards.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request corrections where information is inaccurate.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to any information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

You may request an export of your taste profile and certain account-related information in a reasonable format where feasible.

Somlr is not intended for children or anyone under 21 years old, or under the legal drinking age in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals who do not meet that age requirement.

If you believe that an underage person has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.

If you are a California resident, you may have privacy rights under California law, including rights to know, access, delete, and correct certain personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.

Somlr does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described under California privacy law. California residents may contact us at hello@agentsetupexperts.com to submit requests related to their information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and may provide additional notice where required by law.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the revised policy will apply going forward.
